The first turbine blade has arrived at RES’s 25MW Minnygap wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland.
The turbine components are travelling to the project site near Johnstonebridge from King George V Docks in Glasgow and Ayr Harbour.
The project will feature 10 Nordex N100 2.5MW units measuring up to 125m high to the tip of the blade.
The wind farm is expected to come online in spring 2017.
