Gamesa has landed a 36MW order to supply 16 turbines to a trio of wind farms being developed in France by Valorem.
The Spanish turbine manufacturer said it will supply and install eight G114-2.5MW machines at the 20MW Santerre wind farm in the Somme department in northern France.
A total of eight G87-2.0MW turbines will be delivered to two different projects, the 10MW Soulanes wind farm and 6MW Albine project in the Tarn department in the south of the country.
All hardware will be delivered in the fourth quarter this year and will be commissioned by March 2017 with 10-year O&M contracts also agreed.
“This agreement not only marks the start of business dealings with Valorem but also reinforces Gamesa’s strategy in France, a market it first entered back in 2000,” said Gamesa which has some 790MW installed in the country.
