Gamesa has secured orders from Iberdrola to supply 325MW of wind turbines in Mexico.
The manufacturer will install 84 of its G114-2.625MW turbines for the Pier 4 wind farm in the state of Puebla and 50 G114-2.1MW machines for the Santiago Eolico project in Guanajato state.
The turbines for the Pier 4 facility are scheduled to be delivered early next year and the project will start operating in March 2019, Gamesa said.
Turbines for the Santiago Eolioco wind farm, which will be commissioned in April 2019, will be installed during the second half of 2018.
Gamesa has installed almost 1.9GW of wind turbines in Mexico since 1999, including 360MW for Iberdrola.
