French developer Voltalia has ordered Gamesa turbines for its 27MW Vila Acre wind farm in Brazil.
The Spanish manufacturer will install 13 2.1MW units at the project located near Rio Branco in the northwest of the country.
Construction is expected to start in October and commissioning in the third quarter of 2017, Voltalia said.
The facility forms part of the Serra Branca wind cluster, which has a potential capacity of 1.2GW.
Vila Acre will benefit from a 52km transmission line Voltalia built for the cluster in 2014.
