Gamesa has upgraded its guidance for 2016, following a strong showing in the first nine months of the year that saw net profit grow 63%.
The Spanish manufacturer reported €206m net profit in the first nine months of the year, compared with the same period last year.
It also saw EBIT grow 64.9% to €340m, revenue increase almost 32% to €3.34bn compared with 2015 and sales jump 41.5% to 3.26GW.
The company said its results were boosted by a “sharp increase in wind turbine manufacturing and sales”.
The upgrade, which is the second this year, predicts sales volume in the region of 4.3GW and underlying EBIT of €450m to €470m, which would be the best results in the company’s history.
Gamesa said it expects to maintain the profitable growth trend in 2017.
Sales growth increased 34% in India, 27% in Latin America, 20% in Europe, 12% in the US and 8% in Asia Pacific.
The G114-2.0MW and 2.5MW wind turbine models accounted for 59% of order intake in the period, the company said.
