GE Renewable Energy is to provide Fina Enerji’s wind farms in Turkey with operation and maintenance services under a 10-year full service agreement.
The deal broadens a cooperation agreement between the two companies and also includes a two-year trial of GE’s Predix-powered digital wind farm solutions.
The digital system aims to increase the operational efficiency of the wind farms while enabling further performance enhancements, GE said.
Implementation will start during the second quarter of 2017 and will include capabilities such as asset performance management, and operation and business optimisation.
GE Renewable Energy chief digital officer Sanjeev Addala said: “Our goal is to bring big data to our customers to allow them to make informed decisions on fleet management.
“Getting access to this level of data analytics and data forecasting is a win-win for GE and Fina.”
Fina operations department general manager Volkan Baskaya said: “This type of agreement ensures that GE is not just a service provider, but an operational partner.
“They are incentivised to make our projects an even bigger success.”
