GE and blade specialist TPI Composites are to extend by two years a supply agreement from one of the latter’s facilities in Mexico.
The agreement will now run until 2022 and will increase the number of manufacturing lines to five from three previously.
GE has also agreed to transition to a larger blade model at TPI’s Iowa plant in early 2019.
The move to a larger blade means a supply agreement with the Iowa factory will not now terminate in December 2020.
