GE Renewable Energy has unveiled two new turbines for its 3MW platform at the WindEnergy 2016 trade fair in Hamburg.
The US giant said the 3.6-137 and 3.8-130 models are both compatible with its digital wind farm ecosystem.
The company added that the new turbines have been designed specifically to meet the needs of its European customers.
The machines are available at hub heights of 85, 110, 131.4 and 164.5 metres and are configurable to meet IEC class IIIA, IIB and IIIB wind conditions.
GE added that the 3.6-137 model is capable of providing 28% higher output than its 2.75-120 unit, while the 3.8-130 machine has up to 30% higher output than the 3.2-103 turbine.
