GE is to supply its Cypress turbine model to Pondera and Rebel’s Strekdammen wind farm in the Netherlands.
Strekdammen will feature two 5.5MW GE machines installed at the mouth of the port of Eemshaven.

The turbines will be specially tailored to the coastal conditions, Pondera said.
Contractors VolkerWind and Alsema from Zuidlaren will soon start construction of the project, it added.
The turbines are expected to be commissioned by mid-2022.
Pondera and Rebel acquired the rights for Strekdammen from Yard Energy.
Financing for the wind farm was completed at the end of last year with ABM Amro.
