Enel Green Power North America is to sell GE Energy Financial Services 24% of both its interests in the 235MW Chisholm View wind farm in Oklahoma, and the 200MW Prairie Rose project in Minnesota.
The deals, totalling approximately $74m, reduces EGP’s stake in the two wind farms to 51%.
GE Energy Financial Services’ stakes increase to 49%.
Both wind farms have been operational since December 2012 and have long-term power purchase agreements.
EGP will maintain responsibility for the daily administration, operation and maintenance of the wind farms.
EGP chief executive officer and general manager Francesco Venturini said: “This transaction strengthens the strategic partnership formed last March between EGP and GE Energy Financial Services.
“At the same time, the sale is part of our strategy to actively manage assets in a way that contributes to diversification and growth opportunities both in North America and elsewhere around the world.”
