German service provider Wind Now has started a five-year full maintenance contract for three wind farms owned by Arise in Sweden.
The work started on 1 January, with Wind Now having full responsibility for all components and guarantees decreasing operating costs.
The company has installed its own service base for Arise at its headquarters in Halmstad, from where the three wind farms in Brunsmo, Kaphult and Froslida are serviced around the clock.
The projects feature 21 GE turbines, made up of a mix of 2.5MW and 2.75MW machines.
Arise chief executive Daniel Johansson said: “Together with an extended lifetime and the planned refinancing, this service contract is an important puzzle piece for achieving long-term profitability in our wind farms.”
Wind Now managing director Manuel Lasse said: “We are pleased, that Arise relies on our comprehensive service competence and that we are trusted in Sweden. With dedicated teams on site and at the technical control systems, we will fully meet the expectations placed on us.”
