UK outfit GEV is expanding into the US to benefit from its growing wind power market and support clients that move overseas.
The blade maintenance specialist will open an office in Houston that will serve as a central hub for the American market.
The O&M market for wind projects in the country is expected to reach $19bn by 2020, GEV said.
GEV managing director David Fletcher said: “Our aim is to continually bring innovation to the wind industry and play our part in driving down the cost of energy in the US, and our fixed price maintenance plans together with the introduction of new technologies means owners across the US can capitalize on the savings that GEV Wind Power has to offer.”
