Green Investment Group (GIG) has signed a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with Air Products relating to output from its 22MW Scieki wind farm in Poland.
“Delivering cleaner energy solutions is an important part of Air Products’ past, present and future, not just for us as a company, but also for our customers, partners and the communities where we operate,” said Jacek Cichosz, Air Products’ general manager, Industrial Gases, Poland.
The Air Products VPPA in Poland was advised by Schneider Electric, which acted as a full-service buyer’s advisor and assisted Air Products in project selection and negotiations.
In February 2021 GIG acquired Scieki from the EnerCap Power Funds.
The project is located approximately 1km north west of the village of Scieki and approximately 75km south west of Warsaw in central Poland.
It comprises 11 Vestas V90 2.0MW wind turbine generators and has been operating for over eight years.
