Goldwind has signed an agreement with The Blue Circle (TBC) for the Kalayaan 2 project in the Philippines.
The 100.8MW scheme signifies Goldwind’s debut in the Philippine wind energy sector.
The Laguna province-based project is set to deploy 17 units of 6MW turbines, with Goldwind pledging to offer a full suite of services from supply and transportation to installation, commissioning, and a 10-year maintenance programme.
The Philippines’ is targeting a 35% renewable energy share by 2030 and 50% by 2040.
As the company’s inaugural wind endeavor in the Philippines, Goldwind is poised to provide comprehensive energy solutions, contributing to the renewable energy transformation in the region and beyond, the turbine firm said.
