Invenergy and Enerco have finished building the 37.5MW Gorzyca wind farm in Poland.
Located 16km from the Baltic Sea near the towns of Darlowo and Malechowo, the farm uses 15 GE 2.5 XLE turbines and has now started commercial operations.
Invenergy development officer Jim Shield said: “We’re very pleased to finalize construction of the Gorzyca Wind Farm as it brings us closer to the overall completion of our Darlowo Energy Center.
“Poland offers tremendous resources and we’re looking forward to providing our customers in the area reliable and clean energy while building a positive, long-lasting relationship with our host communities.”
US-based Invenergy and Poland’s Enerco co-own 11 wind farms in Poland with a total operating capacity of 321MW.
The 11th project, the Ustka Wind Farm, is currently being built and should be operational later this month.
