Greek company RF Energy sold five wind farms and two hydro plants with combined capacity of almost 64MW to subsidiaries of Egypt’s Elsewedy Electric for €55m.
Four of RF Energy’s Greek subsidiaries Kallisti Energy, Aioliki Aderes, Aioliki Kilindrias and Hydroelectric Achaias are covered by the deal.
RF Energy will retain the management and operation of all the power plants after the sale.
The project and structured finance team from law firm Watson Farley & Williams’ Athens office advised RF Energy on the transactions.
The team was led by partner Virginia Murray supported by associates Vasia Zaverda and Maria Delagrammatika.
Murray said: “RF Energy has long-standing experience in managing and operating large scale energy projects and it was a great pleasure to work with such an expert client and professional counterparty.
“This is another indication of the constantly increasing confidence in the Greek energy market both nationally and internationally.”
