Enel Green Power has signed a 10-year power purchase agreement to supply wind power to HSBC’s offices in Mexico.
The utility will start supplying 50GWh a year of electricity from the second half of next year, it said.
The power will come from Enel’s 200MW Dominica wind farm in the state of San Luis Potosi.
It will be enough to cover almost 50% of the power needs of HSBC Mexico’s head offices and its more than 1100 branch offices.
