Invenergy has secured project financing for the under-construction 257MW Wake Wind Energy Center in Texas.
Morgan Stanley & Co acted as sole lead arranger, administrative agent and lender for the funding, details of which were not provided.
Wake Wind is located approximately 10 miles northeast of the city of Crosbyton and 50 miles east of Lubbock. It will feature 150 GE 1.715MW turbines and commercial operations are due in the third quarter.
The wind farm will push Invenergy’s portfolio in Texas to nearly 2000MW.
Blattner Energy is the project contractor for civil/mechanical scope and the transmission line, while EPC Services is the contractor for the electrical substation.
