Authorities are investigating after a fatality at the 64MW Windthorst 2 wind farm in the US.
Project owner EDF Renewables said it is working with a contractor and authorities on the investigation of the incident.
Local reports say the fatality occurred last week at one of the project’s turbines.
Windthorst is located in Archer County, north Texas.
“EDF Renewables is saddened to learn of the tragic incident,” a spokeswoman told reNEWS.
“Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased,” she added.
“We are working closely with the contractor and authorities in the investigation of the incident.”
The project comprises Siemens Gamesa turbines.
A spokeswoman for the manufacturer said the company does not conduct maintenance at the site.
