ESB and Bord na Mona have been given the go-ahead to build the 172MW Oweninny wind farm in Mayo in Ireland.
An Bord Pleanala granted permission to the project after an almost three-year adjudication.
The wind farm will feature 61 turbines of between 2.5MW and 3.5MW in two phases.
The development of a third phase featuring a further 51 turbines has been postponed pending the upgrade of grid infrastructure in the area.
