German renewables company Juwi has begun constructing the Mohlis wind project in Thuringia, Germany, due online in late summer 2019.
The 14.4MW Mohlis is the first wind project the company is building following tenders awarded in the 2018 Federal Network Agency auction.

The project, 25 km east of the city of Gera, features four Vestas V136 3.6MW turbines.
In last year’s wind tenders Juwi secured 14 out of 15 above the average value of each round.
Juwi renewable energies vice president Germany Meinrad Wagenschwanz said: “We want to deliver the optimal bid in the bidding process that is optimal for us.”
In 2018 auctions Juwi secured 130MW-worth of wind and 100MW-worth of solar tenders.
Mohlis also marks Juwi’s thousandth turbine installation.
