German investment manager KGAL has raised €255m for its fourth fund investing in renewable energy projects in Europe.
The ESPF 4 fund is based in Luxembourg and has attracted commitments from “four major European institutional clients”, KGAL said.
It added that the fund will invest across the value chain in wind, solar and hydro power, including repowering and energy storage.
The fund should be completely placed by the end of 2018, KGAL said.
KGAL management board speaker Michael Ebner said: “With our optimised risk-return profile within the fund, we are harnessing our substantial asset management know how in renewable energy assets for the investors as well as the extensive experience in deal sourcing and project acquisition.”
