LM Wind Power has broken ground on a new 44,000 square foot warehouse facility in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The blade manufacturer plans to shift employees from the existing Scott Hamilton location to the new port site.
LM said the expansion will allow the compnay to store materials, reduce transportation costs and increase efficiences.
“We are very excited about this new building” said LM project director Bill Burga. “We are investing in the future and this consolidation of facilities further cements our commitment to Little Rock.”
City of Little Rock mayor Mark Stodola said: “Thanks to the investments made by the citizens of Little Rock, the port site was truly ‘shovel ready’ with roads, rail, and all utilities in place for LM Wind Power to immediately begin construction.
