European renewables investor Luxcara has acquired the 111.2MW Egersund wind farm in Norway from Norsk Vind Energi.
The under-construction wind farm will feature 33 Senvion turbines and will be commissioned in August 2017.
Egersund has been swelled Luxcara’s Flaveo Infrastructure Europe fund to some 190MW.
“With the wind farm Egersund, we have succeeded in acquiring one of only a few major onshore projects in Europe. The site is one of the best-suited locations in Europe for generating wind energy,” said manging partner Alexandra von Bernstorff
“In addition, we are shortly about to conclude a long-term, euro-denominated power purchase contract with a well-known partner.”
