Moventas has completed its first up-tower gearbox repair on a Vestas turbine in Uruguay.
The repair took place on a V80 machine at an unnamed wind farm in the South American country.
The up-tower service provides onsite repair and replacement of components, Moventas said.
The Finnish company said the repairs can be carried out both onshore and offshore.
