Indian developer Mytrah Energy has added 83MW of new wind capacity, hitting its target of 1GW of operating assets earlier than planned.
The company has commissioned the 83MW Aspari wind farm in the state of Andhra Pradesh, it said.
It originally expected to reach 1GW of operating wind assets by mid-2017.
Mytrah, listed on London’s AIM, now has 15 wind farms across India and expects its first solar park to open next year.
“In just six years Mytrah has covered an extraordinary distance and today marks the significant milestone achievement of one gigawatt of wind energy capacity,” Mytrah chairman Ravi Kailas said.
