Norwegian wind developer NBT has partnered with WV International to construct an 800MW portfolio of wind projects in Serbia.
The partners, operating under the name WV-NBT Serbia, aim to have the 800MW of wind farms enter operations by 2026, with the first 168MW coming online in 2023.
The companies will develop and construct the wind farms under international standards conforming to EBRD performance requirements and the Equator Principles.
In 2010, WV International commenced the development of the projects in the portfolio.
They are now in an advanced development phase and ready to be realised under “transparent, competitive, and feasible market conditions such as the announced auctioning system”, the company said.
WV International is active in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Morocco, Serbia, Senegal, and Tunisia.
It has delivered over 200MW of wind projects in Belgium and France, obtained over 800MW of permits, and grown into a team of more than 50 people.
