NextEra Energy Resources is to sell electricity from the 86MW Golden Hills North Wind Energy Center in California to Sonoma Clean Power under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
Final management approval for the PPA is expected within the next month, NextEra said.
The project is being repowered and is expected to be operational by the end of 2017.
Sonoma Clean Power is a not-for-profit pubic agency providing cleaner electricity at competitive rates to local residential and commercial customers.
