Nordex has completed its merger with Acciona Windpower (AWP) after competition authorities rubber stamped the deal.
The German turbine manufacturer said today that all “contractual formalities” have now been completed.
As part of the merger, Acciona’s José Luis Blanco and Patxi Landa have been installed as chief operations officer and chief sales officer respectively.
Nordex chief executive Lars Bondo Krogsgaard said: “We are now taking the first steps towards establishing our company as a truly global player in the wind turbine industry.
“AWP and Nordex are now one combined company. We will direct all our efforts towards ensuring that our customers will benefit from our new set-up.”
The companies are jointly seeking sales of over €3.4bn and an EBITDA margin in excess of 7.5% in 2016.
