Nordex is in advanced negotiations with Acciona Energia for the supply of turbines with a combined capacity of almost 1026MW for two wind farms in Australia.
The German manufacturer said the companies are about to reach agreement in principle for the delivery and installation of up to 180 Nordex N163/5.X machines from the company’s Delta4000 series.
The hardware is for Acciona Energia’s MacIntyre wind precinct in the state of Queensland.
The precinct comprises the 923MW MacIntyre and 102.6MW Karara wind farms.
The duo are expected to be operational by 2024, Nordex said.
It said negotiations are expected to be concluded and definitive agreements signed in the coming weeks for the projects to become firm order intake before year-end 2021.
Further updates on this potential order intake will be provided within the company’s regular reporting, Nordex said.
