Nordex has secured a 216MW turbine supply framework deal with Finnish asset management company Taaleritehdas.
The German manufacturer will deliver 72 of its N131/3000 turbines for six projects in 2016 and 2017.
Planned deployments are across a range of Class III sites, in the first instance at Limakko and Kantti for a total of 17 machines later this year.
Nordex said the order “is strengthening its position in the important Finnish wind market”, where its anti-icing system has facilitated an around 10% increase in energy supply.
“Nordex’s strong footprint in Finland and its wealth of experience with turbines for cold regions were the key factors in deciding in favour of this second frame contract,” said Taaleritehdas director Taamir Fareed.
The frame contract for the projects in 2016-17 is the second between the two parties. Nordex supplied 36 N117/2400 turbines from the first contract in 2012.
