Nordex Group has secured new orders for wind farms in Greece totalling 108MW from renewables operator Terna Energy.
The wind farm project locations, construction and commissioning timings are undisclosed.
The orders comprise 36 turbines of different Nordex models plus five-year service contracts with the option to extend for a further five.
Terna Energy has 301MW of renewables capacity in Greece and abroad under construction or ready for construction.
Overall, the company operates, is constructing or has licensed 1287MW of renewable energy installations in Europe and the US, including a total installed capacity of 986MW, of which 561MW is in Greece.
In its preliminary 2018 results released last month Nordex recorded earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation of €101.7m, compared with €200.7m for 2017. However, last year the manufacturer increased its order intake by 73% to 4.75GW.
In addition to the Terna Energy order in Greece, this year Nordex has booked orders for 133MW in Ukraine, a 150MW project in the US, 300MW in India, 84MW in France and 23MW in Luxembourg.
