Nordex Group has won an order to supply and install 95 turbines from its 3MW class for an unnamed wind farm in the US.
The hardware will have a rotor diameter of 125 metres and be installed on 87.5-metre tubular steel towers, the German company said.
Nordex said: “This type of turbine is designed for the site conditions prevailing and for medium wind speeds.”
It added that the deal is a first follow-up order from a safe harbor transaction agreed with a “major international power supplier” at the end of last year that allows the customer to obtain a higher tax benefit.
