Nordex is to supply 81 AW125/3000 turbines to an unnamed client for a 243MW wind farm in Texas.
The company said the turbines are designed for IEC-2 medium-wind sites and will be equipped with an 125-metre rotor on an 87.5-metre tubular steel tower.
Installation is expected to start in early 2017.
Nordex said the new deal continues strong growth of the AW3000 platform in Texas, with recent orders including Capital Dynamics’s 300MW Green Pastures project, IKEA’s 165MW Cameron wind farm and the 93MW San Roman facility owned by Acciona.
The company said it has installed a total of 2.38GW of wind turbines in the US.
Nordex completed its merger with Acciona Windpower in April.
