Nordex Group has secured a contract with an unnamed independent power producer for AW3000 turbines for wind farms in the US.
The German manufacturer said it has already started the order so that the customer can obtain the full benefits of the production tax credit (PTC) by starting project work in 2016.
However, most of the order will be delivered in 2018, it said.
The projects will qualify for the full PTC of 2.3 cents per kilowatt hour, Nordex added.
