Nordex has signed a pair of contracts to supply 3.6MW and 3.3MW turbines to EDF Energies Nouvelles projects in France.
The German manufacturer said the 10-unit deal marked “the commencement of a closer partnership” with EDF EN as the utility prepares to expand its international wind power activities.
“With our products we will be able to support the company in achieving this goal efficiently and on a cost-optimised basis,” said Nordex.
The 18MW Espiers wind farm will feature five N117 3.6MW turibnes while the 17.7MW Guilleville will feature four N117/3600s and a single N100 3.3MW machine.
Hardware will be “among the highest-rated turbines to have been installed in France”. The deal includes service from an existing station in close proximity to the projects.
