Nordex added turbines totalling 350MW in Turkey in 2016, bringing the company’s total installed capacity in the country to 1.5GW.
The German manufacturer said order receipts in 2016 in Turkey were €220m.
It added that according to the Turkish Wind Energy Association, Nordex accounts for 298MW of the approximately 860MW currently being installed in the country.
Nordex Turkey & Middle East chief executive Ibrahim Oezarslan said: “Thanks to our early market entry in Turkey we have established strong relationships to our customers and are now linked with the leading players.”
