Nordex is to supply turbines to the first 180MW phase of Vattenfall subsidiary Nuon’s Wieringermeer wind project in the Netherlands.
The deal, first reported in the latest reNEWS European Onshore issue, is for 50 N117/3600 machines.
Installation will start in March 2019 and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Nordex will service the wind farm once operational and establish a local service station to carry out the work.
Wieringermeer project director Ruben Lindenburg said: “We have already made the first preparations in the area and are glad to have professional companies with whom we will work closely to realise the installation of the first 50 turbines of this wind farm.”
