Notus Energie France has been awarded a contract for three additional turbines at an over 22MW wind farm in France, after success in the country’s latest auction round.
The 22.5MW unnamed project, which will be located about 90km north of Paris, will now feature nine Nordex N100/2500 machines.
It is scheduled to come online at the start of next year, Notus said.
Six of the turbines will be remunerated under the feed-in tariff for 2017, it added.
Notus Energie France president Heinrich Lieser said: “Despite the corona crisis, construction work on the nine turbines is scheduled to commence in autumn 2020.
“The beginnings of this project go back to 2005, so we are all the more pleased that we can now move on and plan to produce renewable electricity for France next year.”
Lieser added that the latest success for the company in the French auction is a “strong signal” for the other projects the company is planning in France.
Notus is developing wind and solar projects in the country with a combined capacity over 600MW.
The company added that it is “constantly seeking further partnerships with other planners, municipalities and local authorities”.
