German company EnBW posted adjusted earnings of €164.8m in its renewables business segment in the first half of 2018, up 8.1% on last year thanks to higher contributions from new onshore wind farms.
Electricity generation output from run-of-river power plants was also higher due to better water levels, the company said.
However, the wind yield from offshore wind farms “was down on the previous year’s period”, EnBW said.
Earnings in the grid business reached €684.9m, an increase of 12.2% on 2017.
Sales earnings were €159.5m, down 11.8% on the same period last year.
Overall, EnBW posted revenues of some €11.56bn, up 10.4% on 2017, and earnings of some €1.14bn.
This marks a 6.4% growth of earnings in the first six months, compared with the €1.07bn posted from January to June in 2017.
