Orsted subsidiary Lincoln Clean Energy has acquired a 103MW construction-ready wind farm in South Dakota from Pattern Energy for an undisclosed price.
The unnamed project is located in Butte County and is expected to come online in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Lincoln Clean Energy said that combined with its Plum Creek wind farm in Nebraska, planned for construction in 2020, the latest acquisition further expands its operations into the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) market that covers the central US.
Lincoln Clean Energy chief executive Declan Flanagan said: “The acquisition of this South Dakota wind farm adds to our growing portfolio of onshore wind assets and continues to broaden the geographic footprint of our asset base into the important SPP market.”
