OX2 has handed over a 27MW onshore wind farm in Italy to asset manager Nuveen Infrastructure.
The six-turbine Maia wind farm, located in the Foggia province in the south of the country, is the first project that OX2 has divested in Italy.
The sale agreement was made in June 2023 while the project was still under development.
Chief executive Matthias Taft said: “The successful completion and handover of our first Italian project marks an important milestone in our relationship with Nuveen Infrastructure.
“We’re proud to see this project generating clean energy for the region and look forward to our continued expansion in the Italian market across onshore wind, solar, and energy storage technologies.”
OX2 will be responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farm.
The company has nine projects under construction in five markets with a total installed capacity of 1.5GW. OX2 also manages renewable assets with a total capacity of about 6.8GW.
