OX2 and Renewable Power Capital have kicked off construction of the 66MW Merkkikallio wind farm in Finland.
The project in South Ostrobothnia, featuring GE 5.5MW turbines, is due to be completed in 2022.
Groundwork and foundations is being carried out by Suvic. VEO is providing substations while transformers are coming from Multirel/Koncar.
Merkkikallio is the third out of three wind farms to be constructed by OX2 and RPC following an agreement signed end of last year.
Construction works of the first two wind farms has been ongoing since December 2020. OX2 is constructing the three wind farms under a tailored EPC contract and will, once commissioned, be responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farms.
“Our good collaboration with Renewable Power Capital continues, and I’m very pleased that we are now able to announce the construction start of our third wind farm together”, said Klara Wennström, OX2 transaction manager.
