Pattern Energy Group has completed the acquisition of development rights to the 600MW King Pine wind farm from SunEdison.
The project will be located in Aroostook and Penobscot Counties in northeastern Maine.
It will use 174 turbines and interconnect to the ISO New England at Emera Maine’s proposed 345 kV Hammond substation.
Construction is expected to start in 2018, with the project reaching commercial operation in 2020.
