Black Hills Energy has finalised the $109m purchase of the 60MW Peak View wind farm in Colorado
Commercial operations start today, almost two months earlier than originally planned, Black Hills said.
The project, which is located about 40 miles south of Pueblo, was constructed by Invenergy Wind Development Colorado under a 2015 build-transfer agreement.
Black Hills said it will recover the cost of the investment through customer billing adjustment clauses for the first 10 years of operation.
