US energy company Invenergy and UK developer North British Wind have been granted consent for the almost 63MW Pencloe wind farm in south-west Scotland.
Scottish ministers gave approval for 19 turbines of up to 125 metres near New Cumnock in East Ayrshire following a public inquiry.

Officials had recommended approval of the 62.7MW project, which was originally submitted to planners in 2015.
The local authority objected to the plans on the grounds of visual, landscape and aviation impacts.
North British and Invenergy have partnered on a number of Scottish wind farm projects including Corriegarth in the Highlands, which was subsequently purchased by Greencoat.
