EDF Renewable Energy has completed a 175MW wind farm at Pilot Hill in Illinois, US.
The power generated from the wind farm located around 60 miles from Chicago and equipped with 103 turbines will be sold to Microsoft under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
The deal follows a similar one with Procter & Gamble in October 2015 and is a response to increased demand from US companies looking to use renewable energy for businesses.
EDF said it is an important part of the renewable energies sector in the US and now has almost 2.7GW of installed capacity.
