The PNE Group has been given the go-ahead to build two new wind farms and a solar plant in Germany with a total capacity of around 185MW.
Once commissioned, the three projects in Germany will be able to supply 73,000 three-person households with electricity per year.
PNE has been given the go-ahead for the construction and operation of two onshore wind farms in Hesse and a ground-mounted photovoltaic plant in Brandenburg.
Six wind turbines with a nominal output of 5.5MW each and a total nominal output of 33MW are planned for the Herzhausen wind farm in central Hesse.
Meanwhile the Welsche-Lied wind farm in northern Hesse is to consist of four turbines.
According to the current planning status, this will comprise three 7.2MW turbines and one 6.2MW turbine, making the wind farm’s total output 27.8MW.
The Altlandsberg photovoltaic power plant is located in the town of the same name in Brandenburg and has a total rated output of around 124MWp.
Chief executive of PNE Heiko Wuttke said: “The licences received are an important step for our further growth.
“They give us the opportunity to further expand our own generation portfolio.”
