PNE has completed and commissioned its 25MW Boitzenhagen wind farm in the Gifhorn district of Lower Saxony.
As a result, PNE now operates wind farms with around 198MW in its own portfolio.
Six Vestas V136 wind turbines and one Vestas V126 wind turbine with hub heights of 132 and 137 metres were installed at the wind farm.
The total heights of the turbines are approx 200 metres each.
The turbines generate environmentally friendly wind power that can cover the average annual demand of approx. 14,500 households.
The electricity will be fed into the transmission grid via the company’s own substation, which was also newly built.
Residents of the surrounding villages will also benefit from the project, since they can receive an electricity cost subsidy.
PNE aims to expand its own portfolio of wind farms will be expanded to up to 500 MW by 2023.
