Qualitas Energy has acquired a greenfield wind portfolio in Germany with a combined planned capacity of up to 100MW.
The portfolio comprises three mid-stage wind energy projects located in Lower Saxony.
The wind farms will have a total of 14 modern turbines, which will generate enough clean energy to supply more than 66,000 households.
Following the acquisition, the Qualitas Energy team will continue the development of the wind projects, which are currently in the planning phase.
“This acquisition underscores our commitment to accelerating the deployment of clean energy infrastructure in Germany,” said Johannes Overbeck, co-chief executive of Qualitas Energy in Germany.
“Lower Saxony, in particular, offers optimal conditions for wind energy, and we are proud to support the region’s decarbonisation efforts through high-quality project development and sustainable investments.”
Qualitas Energy said the transaction aligns with the company’s strategy of identifying and developing high-potential renewable energy assets across Germany.
The company is actively seeking to expand its market presence by focusing on both repowering and greenfield opportunities.
